Enter If You Dare

We have a craft event coming up for church - and one of the girls asked if I was interested in hosting a craft - so I came up with this fun Halloween wreath. I used a styrofoam ring and covered it with strips of muslin that I had sprayed with glimmer mist. I added wiggle eyes and some spider webs, as well as a framed sentiment. I think it's pretty cute - if I do say so myself. :-)

Supplies: JoAnns - styrofoam ring, twine, buttons; Creatology - wiggle eyes; Tattered Angels - glimmer mist, frames.

Christmas Ornaments

So, I know I have been the world's worst blogger lately. With the holidays I have been so busy that I haven't had much time to sit down and create. But, earlier this month we had our Christmas Card swap that is undoubtably the happiest day of the year. It is full of handmade goodies, friends, laughs, and good times. This year we decided to make 2 set of ornaments to swap. We made a few extra to donate to a family in need. Here are the two ornaments that I madeL

Diaper Cake

So, this is my first attempt at making a diaper cake. I am bringing this as gift for a baby shower this evening. The process isn't hard, but it is kind of long.

You start by rolling up diapers and securing them with rubber bands. You then tie them around a bottle of lotion, or a baby bottle and build up. After you have completed the "cake" you can decorate with Ribbon, flowers, stuffed animals...or anything you want.

I think it turned out really cute!

Baby Girl

I wanted to share a card that I made today.  This was so fun to make, and all of the supplies are so cute that I couldn't resist them.  The base of the card is actually part of a mini chipboard album by Bare Elements.  I just used two of the piece and tied them together for a cute, shaped card.

Supplies:  Bare Elements - card base; K & Company - patterned paper; Melissa Frances - glitter heart, rubon; Scrapbook Nook - ribbon, button.

Mother's Day Bouquet

We spent Mother's Day with my Sister-in-law's family.  I wanted to give something small to the mother's...so I made this "bouquet" as one of the gifts.  I purchased an inexpensive watering can from Michaels and filled it with paper flowers that I cut out using my Slice.  For the center of the flower I adhered a small piece of chocolate.  I then attached the flowers to a lollipop stick and then places them in the can.  A cute & fun way to give flowers. :-)

Supplies:  American Crafts - patterned paper, ribbon; Bazzill  - cardstock; Foray - ribbon; Making Memories - Slice design card Basics 2.

Advent Story Book

I wanted to share the advent story book I made for all my Card Swap friends this Christmas.  The book was a lot of work, but turned out amazing!  I used chipboard for the from and back cover, covered them with Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, and printed various Christmas Stories (One for each day leading up to Christmas) on Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.  I put it all together with the help of my Crop-a-dile and a few book rings.

A Few Altered Products

Altered Picture Frame for baby Cora

A couple that we go to church with just had their first child.  They had a get together to celebrate the baby yesterday, but I couldn't go because I had to work.   I was able to make this altered picture frame for their new baby, and will give it to them at church.  I hope they like it.

Altered Bucket for Mother's Day

I made this little bucket for Jim's mom as a small Mother's Day present.  I was inspired to make it by a few buckets that my friend Button has created.  Button has such vision when it comes to all things creative!  Her work is always original and so so cute!  This is my version of an altered bucket.  I put a few things inside like quilting pins and thread (Jim's mom loves to quilt).

Altered Paperclip

This little guy is what I am giving the card swap girls for their birthdays this year.  I came across these huge orange paperclips and decided that they were dying to be card layout idea holders.  I used mod podge to attach scrapbook paper to the paperclips, and then embellished from there.  Kinda cute, huh?
Supplies: My Mind's Eye - green floral paper; Making Memories - flowers, striped paper, orange paper, brad; American Crafts - vinyl letters; Paperclip and Ribbon - unknown.
